It’s awesome watching Titilayo Mabogunje ram her words in front of a packaged audience and via cyberspace to all of us. Transiting from writing poems to performing them is a new trade in this clime but it appears, is catching on fast.
Titilayo won the maiden War of Words (Slam Poetry Competition) organised by Lagos-based i2X Media in June 2013 and since then it’s been going up and up, on and on for her.
Titilayo, Nigerian, graduate of African Leadership Academy, South Africa, has other career goals but sees prospect for SPOKEN WORD in, to use her words, “advertisements, news, and, maybe, even politics”.
