The University of Lagos Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association, UNILAGFEAA, has cited Engr Prof Babagana Zulum, Governor of Borno State, as the model of a state Governor who uses engineers commendably for true infrastructural development. It also commends Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu, Governor of Lagos state, for presenting a rich and trail blazing paper at last year’s Alumni Lecture, and for endowing a professorial Chair in surveying and geo-informatics, while Engr ‘Seyi Makinde, Governor of Oyo state, also received commendation for endowing a Chair in electrical and electronics engineering at the Faculty.
This was contained in a Communique issued on the heels of its Alumni Lecture 2019 for which implementation of its recommendations, it says, has commenced.
The Association says it would meet with engineers who are holding strong political offices to work out several ways by which support could be offered for true infrastructural development in grassroot Nigeria.
