“To this end the Federal Executive Committee in 2017 adopted a policy on provision of power. This policy which was drawn by the National Council on Power and referred to as ’30-30-30 policy for power’, states that by the year 2030, 30GW of electricity, 30% of which is to come from renewable energy other than large hydro, should be produced. Therefore, it is expected that effort will continuously be made to implement Goal number 7 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is in line with this that today’s lecture was coined, “Deploying Renewable Energy Strategies for Decarbonisation of Nigeria’s Energy Mix: Need for Emotional Intelligence.”
