A bank service manager stole his employer’s N11m in 2017. Judgement came in 2020 with a conviction of one year jail sentence or a fine of N100,000 in lieu of the jail term.

The criminal actually pleaded for mercy and he got it. The basis of his pleading for mercy was that he had previously been setenced to a jail term for criminal misappropriation by another court. So the judge showed mercy.
